  1.  A thorough check on weather conditions in the areas of your ski trip. This check includes: 24 hour weather forecast, current weather conditions, snow report, avalanche conditions and analyzing live weather maps.
  2. Pack what you need. Depending on the weather condition you researched from step 1, bring appropriate supplies, clothes, and enough water and food.
  3. Join a group! It may not be very fun to go on a ski trip by yourself, and it is very helpful to go in a group because it reduces the risk of getting lost or not getting help in time if you find yourself in a hazardous weather condition.
  4. If step 3 isn't an option, let your friends and family know of your trip. This step is important as, if you do get lost in the mountains or in a hazardous weather condition, your close ones can send help reduce the risk of fatal outcomes.
  5. Lastly, check the road conditions of the path to your skiing destination. You should always take road safety seriously, and plan ahead to avoid any accidents.
